The show so many of us didnβt know we needed
I am the parent of a probably PDA almost six year old boy and this podcast is an absolute godsend for me, helping me to understand how my own nervous system and childhood trauma are triggered by adopting a low demand parenting style in order to try to meet my childβs needs. The presenterβs voice is so calming in itself and I always feel after listening to it as if Iβve both learnt something AND sat in a healing sound bath for a while.

So helpful and healing
I have found comfort and wisdom listening to [Afshan]. Her episodes are usually under 30 minutes and I emerge with self forgiveness, greater calm and tools for my journey with my high needs teen.

I love this podcast. Afshanβs skillful words and gentle way of being has helped me so much through periods of grief and burnout as the mom of a PDA Autistic child.

Your host
Hi, I'm Afshan Tafler.
I'm a Nervous System Resilience Coach and a parent raising a PDA autistic son with high anxiety and OCD. For years, our days held hours of meltdowns, hitting and broken things. What changed it was working with my own nervous system first. Our meltdowns went from five hours a day to about 30 minutes once a week.
On the podcast I share what I've lived and what I teach, so you can feel safe enough inside a life that is still hard.
